The Disability Pride Flag
Each Stripe Has a Meaning.
The Disability Pride Flag features stripes of muted colors over a black background. Each stripe represents a part of the disability community, including physical disabilities, neurodiversity, invisible and undiagnosed disabilities, psychiatric and emotional disabilities, and sensory disabilities.
Originally created in 2019 by Ann Magill, a writer with cerebral palsy, the flag was updated after community feedback to better accommodate people with visually triggered disabilities and color blindness.
