Have your say and help shape future support for children and teens with DCD / dyspraxia 💙

An international research project is inviting young people aged 10–18 with DCD / dyspraxia to share their experiences, strengths, challenges and support needs.

Participants can choose between:
🔹 A 30–45 minute online focus group
🔹 A 30 minute one-to-one online interview

This is a great opportunity for young people to help make sure their voices are heard and help shape future research.

🌟 What a fantastic day in Nenagh! 🌟

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last Thursday, 2nd April, for our DCD Cairde Club Activity Day at Nenagh Ormond Rugby Club. The event, organised through Dyspraxia/DCD Ireland’s POTTS Programme in collaboration with Nenagh Ormond RFC and Tipperary Sports Partnership, brought together an amazing group of young people aged 8–13 for a morning of fun, movement, and connection.

From golf to cooperative games to fundamental movement skills and the chance to try out new activities, the energy and enthusiasm from all participants made the day truly special. It was wonderful to see families come together in such an inclusive and supportive environment.

A very special thank you to Stephen Quinn and Tommy Dorney from Tipperary Sports Partnership for their support on the day, as well as to our four Occupational Therapy students currently working on the POTTS programme, whose enthusiasm and hands‑on help made a huge difference. Your contributions helped create a welcoming and engaging experience for every child who took part.

We’re grateful to everyone involved - partners, volunteers, families, and participants - for making the day such a success. We’re already looking forward to the next one 💙

There’s so much power in hearing real stories, which is why we absolutely love hearing them!

Mark shared his experience of going back into education later in life after being diagnosed with dyspraxia and dyscalculia… and how much it’s changed things for him.

Stories like this remind people that they’re not alone and that support is out there.

If you’d like to share your own dyspraxia journey, we’d love to hear from you 💛
