Thank you so much to Illustrators Ireland for funding such a great event. Thank you to all involved and all who turned up last night for the Launch of the Good News exhibition. It was so nice to see you all and catch up in person. Big thanks to Blas Cafe for hosting it. We still have a few copies of the Poster Book to give away so if you missed the opening night, you can pop into Blas grab some food and some FREE ART but get there quick as there arent many left. It is wonderful to see the quality of Illustrators within Illustrators Ireland.

The IGI held our second visit to the National Gallery to have a special viewing of some original Harry Clarke pieces. Then coffee, we took in the Rembrandt to Matisse exhibition and then some of us enjoyed a glass of w**e in Note. A great evening. Thank you to everyone who joined.

A collective of picture-book authors and illustrators has launched the Look North Campaign, celebrating new picture-book releases in Northern Ireland - including two members of Illustration Ireland.

The grassroots campaign aims to showcase the wealth of children’s books being created in Northern Ireland. At a time of growing concern around AI-generated children’s books, Look North is a timely celebration of human creativity, craft and storytelling.

An IGI, Private Harry Clarke Viewing, Meet Up

The IGI organised with the National Gallery of Ireland a special meet up for it's members yesterday. We were treated to a private viewing of some of Harry Clarke's great original pieces in the Prints and Drawings Room, curated by Niamh MacNally.
Niamh spoke expertly on all things Clarke and illustration from that period, answering all are questions and telling insightful, humorous stories about the artist and more.

After this we met more of our members in the cafe and viewed the new, excellent exhibition " From Rembrandt to Matisse " on show in the Prints gallery. Well worth a look.

To finish a few of us enjoyed a glass of w**e in the sunshine. A massive thank you to the National Gallery for hosting us and to Niamh MacNally for her time, knowledge and brilliant stories on all things Harry Clarke.

These IGI meet ups are a great way for our members to meet, enjoy art, have a laugh and forge a sense of community that will last for a long time to come.

DUBLIN COMIC ARTS FESTIVAL is this Sunday! Please join us at Bohemian FC (D07YXW0) from 11am to 5pm for talks from the fab comic creator (member of Illustrators Ireland) and wonderful , 60+ vendor tables full of indie comic art, FREE life drawing, a collaborative drawing table, coffee from Happy Out Coffee, and so many good DCAF vibes!
