Kicking Off The Season Right 🔵⚪️
A crazy game to start our season this evening. A match that had everything - goals, penalties, penalty saves, fight & 3 points for the blue men!
We started off on fire racing 2-0 up in the first 5 minutes. Then Roc came into a period of dominance and with their class found themselves 2-2 after ten minutes. Then deservedly 2-3 up. The challenge was set for our young squad, missing lots this evening through LC results & holidays.
By halftime we were 4-5 up after both teams had penalties & Martin scored a rocket. A rousing halftime, the game plan set and out we came flying. Led by Khaleed up top and Peter marshalling the backline we were holding our own. Heavyweights clash as blows were traded, Khaleed gave us breathing room before the highlight of the game.
Roc get a penalty. 5 mins left. Henry saves. Up the other end we go on the counter and Khaleed get his deserved hat trick. 3 points are coming home.
Tough result for a top class Roc to take as they made this a brilliant game of ball. TJ & Darren both impressive. For us, this was a serious showing of spirit from a depleted squad. All across the card giving us their all. Special mentions to Peter, Foley, & Musti. While Khaleed takes the match ball and MOTM.
