Here's a selection of photos from our latest art workshops for Cruinniú na nÓg with the students of St. Dominics NS.

They're taking part in 4 weeks of visual arts and drama workshops this month in The Making Space, and their work will go on display in DoubleTAKE Studio in Rua Red during Cruinniú na nÓg.

The workshops are being facilitated by Alanna Keely and Amy Hardiman, and the main theme is Exploring Space.

Cruinniú na nÓg takes place on Saturday 6th June, and our "Exploring Space" exhibition will be open to the public from 11am - 1pm in DoubleTAKE Studio in Rua Red.

Alongside this exhibition, there will also be visual art and drama workshops on the same theme of "Exploring Space" which are free of charge and open to the public. All are welcome and we hope to see you there!

Some of our team attended a workshop with KCAT Arts Centre artist Sinéad Fahey in the Lexicon, Dún Laoghaire this week.

Alanna, Amy and Philip from DoubleTAKE Supported Arts Studio spent the day with Sinéad getting an introduction to her artmaking methods. The workshop focussed on drawing an element: pencil to posca markers on paper.

Sinéad Fahey has been a member of the Kilkenny Collective for Arts Talent (KCAT) Studio since 2001.

KCAT will be in the Lexicon, Dún Laoghaire, throughout the summer of 2026 with "Lifework" - an exhibition of artworks by seven KCAT artists: Thomas Barron, Declan Byrne, Lorna Corrigan, Sinéad Fahey, Fergus Fitzgerald, Andrew Pike, and Jason Turner.

Lifework runs from Saturday 9th May until Wednesday 26th August, and admission is free.

Alanna, Amy and Philip really enjoyed the day and made some good connections with artists and mentors from KCAT. They have been invited to travel to Kilkenny to visit the artists on their home turf, and we're hoping to start the process to make that happen soon.

This collaborative project was supported by DLR Arts Office , South Dublin County Arts Office , The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon , and HSE SSIDS (Southside Intellectual Disability Service).

Another few quick snaps from the Festival Makers Conference in Sligo last week.

TCA Creative Director Sharon Devlin and Office Manager Sharon Doyle attended the event for three days and have brought back a wealth of ideas and inspiration for TCA to grow community engagement and spread the joy of participatory art in Tallaght and South Dublin. They also bumped into some friends of TCA along the way.

The Festival Makers Conference is Ireland’s national gathering for festival makers and festival stakeholders, bringing together practitioners that organise and support festivals through conversation, networking and shared learning.

The 2026 conference in Sligo was the first one to be an all-island event; bringing together festival makers from across Ireland and Northern Ireland.

The conference theme for 2026 was FLUX: Resilient Together. The programme featured keynote talks, panel discussions and workshops addressing key themes including collaboration & partnership, navigating change, adaptation and sustainability, strengthening sectoral voice and collaboration and new horizons & future planning.
