URGENT: Ireland must act now to stop the war in Sudan. 🇸🇩

This Thursday, 18th December, Noreldaim from Ireland Sudan Solidarity Collective (ISSC) handed over our urgent letter to TDs Sean Crowe and Patricia Stephenson in front of the Dáil, calling for it to be raised in government.

Over 12 million people displaced. 200,000+ lives lost. 30 million need aid.

We demand that the Irish Cabinet implement 9 critical steps—from funding grassroots responders and backing UN investigations to designating the RSF as a terrorist organisation and holding the UAE accountable.

Ireland must help demand accountability, support an inclusive peace, and save lives.

With only two days left until our demo at LEINSTER HOUSE THIS THURSDAY AT 5:30PM we are amping up the volume even more.

All week we have been campaigning to get as many emails sent out to the Dáil as possible. We are demanding they take action on 11 measures for justice and peace. Find the QR code in our previous post, on in the first link in our bio.

We must raise our voices and demand that tangible steps are taken for Sudanese folks in Sudan and the diaspora. This cannot continue as innocent lives are lost.

Join us THURSDAY December 18th to demand our government take action for Sudan! The Irish government can take decisive steps NOW to help peace in Sudan and BOYCOTT THE UAE.

Next week, we will be BOMBARDING the Dáil with emails and phone calls for them to enact our demands. Some of them include:
- Safe Access Routes and Asylum Pathways
- Designation of the RSF as a terrorist organisation
- Support grassroots ERRs (Emergency Response Rooms)
- Demand UAE withdraw arms shipments and direct support to the RSF

🚨 TIME CHANGE 🚨
We have pushed our protest to 2:30 so that it does not clash with the ICTU rally for unity and hope! United Against Racism (UAR) will be at that before hand, if anyone would like to meet and walk down to the UAE embassy together!

We cannot stand idly by and wait for intervention by careless politicians complicit in the continuing suffering of Sudanese civilians. We DEMAND for the Irish government to take actions against the UAE’s gross funding of the conflict, and to push for a ceasefire IMMEDIATELY. Let’s show that Ireland and Irish people demand civilian power and sovereignty in Sudan! 🇸🇩
