The Board of DYT wishes to pass on our deep gratitude to Sarah Bragg-Bolger for the huge contribution she has made to Dublin Youth Theatre during her years with the organisation.

Sarah led the organisation with passion and dedication. Under her stewardship, the organisation increased its funding and its reach. More young people are benefitting from DYT than ever before, not only through membership but also through our Outreach programme. Sarah was pivotal in navigating the organisation and its members through the unprecedented challenges of the COVID period. Her commitment to meeting the needs of members has been unwavering and so many have benefitted from her guidance and support. Sarah's tireless work has helped DYT secure a bright future and she has left us so much to build upon as we move towards our 50th anniversary in 2027.

Sarah is a great advocate for youth theatre. Her work with Youth Theatre Ireland has meant that the whole sector has benefitted from her insight and ability to articulate its importance. We know there are so many young people who want to thank Sarah for the positive impact she has had on their lives. We know that they join us in wishing Sarah all the very best in her future endeavours. She will be sorely missed.

In today's workshop, our members worked with Luka Costello on Going Big and Playing Subtle in Performance, where they looked at how levels of energy affect a scene, characters, and stories. This was Luka's last workshop as a DYT employee but certainly not her last as a DYT legend.

In today's workshop, our members worked with one of our DOAF directors, Eftychia Spyridaki on Ensemble Building. where they used excerpts from 2 ancient Greek plays to explore the concept of the modern chorus on stage from an acting perspective.

DYT is excited to share that Samuel Coyle is now operating under the new title of Programme Coordinator!

Sam joined the DYT Team as our Programme Administrator in early 2025 and has been an incredible addition to the organisation, bringing an excellent energy to the youth theatre through administrative support and workshop facilitation.

Today, DYT announces the departure of Luka Costello as Programme & Communications Manager.

The board of Dublin Youth Theatre wishes Luka well on the next steps in her career. On behalf of the board, staff, and members, we thank her for her dedication and commitment to the values of youth theatre.

From Luka: "Working for DYT the last few years has been an absolute blast and so incredibly rewarding. Although I'm stepping down from this role, there is no doubt I'll still be supporting them from the sidelines!"

In yesterdays workshop, Our members worked with Davey Kelleher on their first combined workshop of first years and second years, where they worked on team-building, collaboration and drama exercises. As our first year and second year members come together, we say goodbye to Davey and thank him for the memories, the laughs and for some, in the end, the tears.
