Córfhéile na Scoileanna

Córfhéile na Scoileanna An annual music event for primary school children in the Greater Dublin Area. We hold concerts annually in the National Basketball Arena.

Córfhéile is a non-profit making, voluntary organisation that aims to provide an opportunity for children in primary school right around Dublin to perform in a non-competitive music festival. The children that perform in the Córfhéile do so for the enjoyment of singing, for the love of playing music or the desire to participate in a play or drama. Córfhéile is about developing confidence and a feeling of self-esteem for having performed in front of a large audience.

What a great start to Corfheile Atha Cliath 2026. We had a sparkling matinee and a hugely entertaining evening show yesterday. It was obvious from the wonderful singing and playing how much preparation had gone into the performances. Well done teachers and pupils.
Notice our lovely set-up. Thornton's pianos again providing the beautiful instrument for accompanists. Massive thanks to A1 Staging and Soundlease working through Monday night and well into the early hours of Tuesday morning, along with the Arena staff to get this show on the road.

🎶It's all go for kick-off of Corfheile Atha Cliath tomorrow morning in the National Basketball Arena. 🎶. A1 staging, Soundlease audio systems and beautiful Thornton's piano all going in tonight. Music starts at 10:30a.m. for matinees and 7:30p.m. evenings. Note for audience: CASH ONLY. Euro 10: adults. Children free. Grandparents get a discount. The volunteer committee members are looking forward to a great week of ceol! 🎶

Another successful Corfheile was held in March.
Huge thanks to: National Basketball Arena staff for making everything smooth and easy;
to Soundlease and Mark for always knowing how to maximise the performances;
to Thornton's Pianos for the generous loan of the beautiful instrument (much used);
to our Moltoiri for giving their time and expertise;
to local INTO branches and Comhair Linn Credit Union for their sponsorship
and especially
to the wonderful voluntary committee for enabling the music making week.
Congratulations to all the wonderful participants and teachers. You really spread the joy with a huge variety of musical genres. 🎼🎵🎶🎹🎻🪘🪗🎺!!
