Friday Funny!

We'd never endorse wheelies on public roads, but even on a closed track, I think most bikers feel this way and for good reason! 😂

What Happens When You Can't Lean The Bike And You Add Target Fixation?

Well, this rider found out!

We've said it before...if you're riding in a group and you have less experience than the other riders, don't try to keep up and ride outside your skill level. This rider felt like he couldn't lean the bike over, despite it being an easy corner. He then made it worse by looking directly at the very worst place to hit the barrier, and so he hit that exact spot!

This is something you can practice. When in a bend, look where you want to go and the bike will take you there.

If you find yourself going a little hot, keep the throttle positive and apply some back brake (not front) and you'll make it through the corner.

Fantastic Day For A Group Training Ride!

The sun was shining and the country looked beautiful, so 40+ riders joined our monthly group training ride.

It was led by Niall Monaghan, with Karl Dunne acting as back marker. (See first comment for a pic of our ride leaders).

So great to see a lot of new faces, and everyone enjoyed the route that took us from Ratoath to Navan, on to Kells and then a loop towards the coast and back home via Drogheda.

These training rides allow our associates to practice what they've been learning from their tutors and discuss any questions they have with the tutors who join these rides.

These training rides are free (as is the training with their tutors), so if you'd like to upskill your riding with an advanced rider qualification, visit https://champ.ly/sXWjpLlb to find out more.

The original post asked "How Did This Happen?"

I think you'll all agree, it pretty obvious...

Riding way too fast and far beyond their skill level.

As a side note, if you're waiting for other riders, or on a popular biker route, don't park your bikes on the outside of a bend!
