Why choose digital membership:

📱 Always with you
Your membership details are right there on your phone, ready when you need them — so when you’re at the checkout claiming your membership discount on outdoor gear, there’s no more frantic phone call home: “Can you find my membership card? Try the drawer… no, the other drawer!”😅

♻️ A greener choice
Going digital means less paper and plastic— a small change that helps reduce waste.

⚡ Quick and convenient
Instant access to your membership details at your fingertips, wherever you are.

Ready to make the switch?

Next up in our Happy Hiking series: Power up! ⚡️

📱Using your phone for hiking apps like Hiiker, taking photos and posting updates on your adventures can drain your battery – especially in cold weather. ❄️

If something goes wrong and you need to call for help, a low battery on your phone will make your bad day worse.

Make sure to:
🔋 Pack a fully charged power bank
💧 Keep it dry
🔌 And don’t forget the right cable!

💡 Top tip: A power bank is only useful if it’s charged too 😉

🥾 20 years of Friday walks, friendship and a love of the outdoors!

Mid Tipp Hillwalkers recently marked a very special milestone – 20 years since their popular Friday Walks first began.

Almost 80 hillwalkers returned to Upperchurch, where the very first Friday Walk took place back in 2006, for a beautiful evening on the Hugh O’Donnell Loop, followed by food, chats and plenty of catching up with old friends. ⛰️

Started by a club member Carmel Needham as a way to head straight from work into the weekend, the Friday Walks have introduced hundreds of people to the outdoors over the years.

For many, those first gentle walks around Tipperary, Laois and Kilkenny were just the beginning – leading to club membership, new friendships and even adventures on mountains in Ireland and abroad. 🌍

It’s a wonderful example of what our walking clubs are all about: getting outdoors, discovering new places and enjoying the company of others along the way. 💚
