‘So Say So’ is an event that spotlights poetry, storytelling, and music. It is curated by the esteemed poet, Stephen James Smith. Each event will feature a distinguished national or international poet.

They will be joined by musicians Basciville for a unique, collaborative performance.

The 5-Word-Challenge open mic segment is open to everyone, with performers limited to 5 minutes each on a first-come, first-served basis.

✨We are delighted to be partnering with PFGi on the launch of the inaugural PFGi Poetry Award 2026! ✨

This new poetry bursary and commission new award invites poets to explore the relationship between engineering, creativity and language. 🖋⚙

Facilitated by Business to Arts, this new award offers a combined bursary and commission to support a poet based in Ireland in the development of new work.

The award includes a €5,000 bursary to support creative time, and a €2,000 commission fee for the selected poet.

Applications close Friday 26th June

The James Joyce Centre presents a wonderful evening of poetry and song James Joyce and The Great Irish Poets Songbook, with tenor Dean Power and composer and pianist James Hurley on Sunday, June 14th at 7pm. 🎶🎹

They will perform settings of texts by some of Ireland’s best-known writers and poets, composed and arranged by pianist James Hurley, who will accompany Dean on piano.

✨This year, from 22- 31 May, Jaipur Literary Festival returns to Ireland for one of its most ambitious projects yet: JLF Island of Ireland, a cross-border literary festival supported by the Government of Ireland and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.✨

We are delighted to see poetry well-represented at this year's festival. Director of Poetry Ireland / Éigse Éireann Claire Power will host two session this weekend:

Wonderful to celebrate our first Poetry Day Ireland, and first event, in our new ‘home’ at No. 11 Parnell Square!

We were delighted to welcome some local school students for a workshop with Nell Regan in the morning, and then a ‘Home’ poem reading this evening.
