GLEN Group

GLEN Group Originated in Dundrum, South Dublin, we aim to give young adults with learning disabilities a holiday specially created for them.

It was named after Glenn, when as a young adult his mother could not find a summer camp to cater for his special needs. She set about researching the idea she had of setting up such a camp. It took a few years of background work, many hours of talking to various people, and then lots and lots of fundraising with the support of friends she had gathered along the way. The G.L.E.N group held their first meeting leading the way to the first summer camp in 1999.
