Choirs gathered through the day - youth, mixed choirs, adults and community groups arriving, warming up, and preparing to take the stage for the final day of competitions.

A special event marking 130 years of Feis Ceoil takes place next Thursday, 26 March, in the Shaw Room at National Gallery of Ireland.
Curator Niamh MacNally introduces William Orpen’s portrait of John McCormack, followed by a live performance from Patrick Rafter (violin) 🎻 and Dida Condria (piano) 🎹

As Feis Ceoil celebrates its 130th anniversary, we're delighted to present the second in a series of events held in our Shaw Room to mark the occasion.

🎼Join us on the evening of Thursday 26 March when the focus will be on the period from the 1920s to the 1940s. Curator Niamh MacNally will talk about this portrait of John Count McCormack, followed by a recital of music by composers of the era from the featured performers, Patrick Rafter and Dida Condria.
