Our Dublin Hard of Hearing group visited Glasnevin Cemetery!

The group learned about the rich history of Ireland's national cemetery, founded in 1832, which contains over 1.5 million burials, more than the current population of Dublin!!

We heard fascinating stories about some of Ireland's most influential figures, including Daniel O'Connell, Michael Collins, Éamon de Valera, Charles Stewart Parnell, Roger Casement, and many others.

In fact, one member of the group described the tour as "deadly," which I think sums it up perfectly!

We were delighted to attend the TY Show 2026 and speak with over 800 TY students and teachers at the event.

We shared information about Chime’s services, including EduTech and Assistive Technology. It was great to see an interest in assistive technology and people engaging with our ISL video resources.

This week, our Chime offices around Ireland came together for coffee mornings, gatherings and plenty of good conversation as we celebrated International Week of Deaf People.

It was a wonderful opportunity for staff, clients and members of our community to come together, connect and celebrate. 💙

🎉 Midlands & Dublin Chime group - A Day of Fun, Games & Great Company! 🎉

What a fantastic day we had recently when our Midlands and Dublin groups came together in Tullamore for a day of fun, laughter and getting to know each other! 😊

There was plenty of friendly competition and banter as everyone got stuck into the activities.

The day gave both groups a great opportunity to chat, make new connections and learn more about each other over lunch in Supermac’s. 🍔🍟

🌿⚔️ A Viking Adventure to Remember! ⚔️🌿

The weather couldn’t have been better as we travelled along the beautiful River Shannon, discovering more about Ireland’s fascinating Viking heritage and the wonderful natural world around us.

It was a day filled with fun, discovery and learning stories about the Viking history in Athlone while taking in the scenery, wildlife, birds and river life along the way. There was plenty to see, plenty to learn, and lots of smiles and laughter too! 🚤😊

Experiences like this are so valuable because they give everyone the opportunity to explore our local heritage and make memories together. 💙

And this wonderful trip would not have been possible without funding from the recent Tullamore Credit Union Ltd Support Fund 2026. We are incredibly grateful for the support, which helps make enriching experiences like this accessible and meaningful for our group.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special — sunshine, history, nature and a little Viking adventure made for a truly memorable experience! 🌞🛶⚔️
