✨ Offaly Disability Awareness Week 2026 ✨

Chime Tullamore was delighted to take part in Offaly Disability Awareness Week.

Our team hosted an Open Day, welcoming members of the public to learn more about Chime's services and supports for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people. We also held a Free Hearing Test Day, providing an opportunity for people to check their hearing health and access information and advice.

In addition, we were pleased to support the Laois and Offaly Education and Training Board (LOETB) by delivering an Assistive Technology Workshop, showcasing technology and tools that can help improve communication, accessibility, and independence.

A big thank you to everyone who visited, participated, and helped make the week such a success.

One of our values in Chime we live by is β€œTogether is Better”.

Chime and RehabCare in Kilkenny recently collaborated to provide one of our Deaf client’s a 12 week work experience opportunity with Mr Price on the Gaol Road in Kilkenny.

Chime delivered a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Awareness information training session to staff and managers in Mr Price in January in advance of this client starting her placement and facilitated another session on the 3rd of June with a group of 15 programme facilitators, CE Scheme support workers and managers from RehabCare Kilkenny and Carlow.

We strive to keep building meaningful relationships, create more accessible and inclusive workplaces and serve the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities.
