Here's a look back at what we've been up to this week!

🌈 Roisin (she/her) attended a session on building inclusive volunteer programmes.
🌈 Last week we were delighted to have 3 wonderful Transition Year students join us for their work placement, at the end of the week they presented to us some of their excellent fundraising ideas!
🌈 We went along to The Wheel Summit which this year focused on 'Community at the Heart of Our Democracy'.
🌈 The Under 18's had a 'sustainability, the environment and the q***r community' workshop where Danny (he/him) showed our young people how to sew and use a sewing machine!
🌈 Katherine (she/her) joined our colleagues from TENI, LGBT Ireland, and NXF at the National LGBTI+ Inclusion Strategy steering group meeting with The Department of Children, Disability and Equality.
🌈 Our IndividualiTy group took advantage of the good weather to take a trip to the park for Ice-cream and Uno!
🌈 Kieran (he/him) attended the launch of 'Ireland's Strategy to Reduce Su***de and Self-harm', a piece of work for which we inputted on at its early stages as a part of our work with Connecting for Life and the National Office for Su***de Prevention.

Last week was National Volunteering Week!

In 2025, Belong To was supported by 73 amazing volunteers between our youth engagement volunteers, events volunteers, our Board, our committees, fundraisers and corporate volunteers.

In 2026, we've been delighted to welcome even more events volunteers to the team already with another round of recruitment happening this weekend πŸ‘

We could not provide the same level of support to LGBTQ+ young people without our volunteers generously giving their time, skills and dedication. Thank you!
