There continues to be a lot of dog dirt on our footpaths in Oldtown. It's a health and safety issue for our residents, it's also illegal.
We ask all dog owners to please be responsible for your own pet and pick up after them.
Thank you for your support on this matter.

A lovely bit of work has been done on some old water pumps in Oldtown.

Paul has given the two rusty pumps in Leastown Lane a new lease of life with a bit of paint, some flowers and a fresh coat of paint on the bench.

A lovely idea that has made a big difference to the area.

Thanks, Paul — it looks fab! 👏🌸

⚡ Celebrating Rural Electrification – Saturday, 4th July ⚡

Join us between 2pm and 4pm as we celebrate the arrival of rural electrification and the huge impact it had on life in our community.

☕ Tea and coffee will be served, and we invite you to bring along any memorabilia, photographs, or keepsakes from that era. Most importantly, come along and share your memories and stories of this important time in our village history.

📺 TG4 will be there on the day and would love to hear your recollections and experiences. If you'd like to share your memories through Irish, even better, but it's certainly not essential.

We look forward to seeing you there for an afternoon of memories, conversation, and community.
