This includes sexual offence trials, assault trials, and murders to only name a few.

V‑SAC supports victims, survivors, witnesses, and families in every criminal court, offering trauma‑informed guidance at each stage of the process.

Have you used V-SAC’s court accompaniment services? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

At Victim Support at Court, the people we support are at the heart of what we do. If you've previously used our service and are willing to share your experience in media interviews from time to time, we'd appreciate it if you get in touch.

There is absolutely no obligation to take part, even if you join our media panel. When an opportunity comes up, we’ll contact you first, and you can then decide if you are comfortable taking part.

And most importantly, the choice is always yours: you can share your identity if you wish, or you can remain anonymous.

By sharing your experience, you could help raise awareness of the volunteer support that's available to victims attending court and help someone else feel a little less alone, during a very difficult time.

These pieces reflect the trust, cooperation, and shared purpose between V‑SAC, Gardaí, the DPP’s office, interpreters, and intermediaries - all working together to ensure an injured party’s rights were upheld from beginning to end.

They’re more than gifts; they’re reminders of the relationships built, the compassion shown, and the collective commitment behind this work. Our hearts are genuinely warmed, and we’re deeply grateful to everyone who supported the victims’ journey throughout the trial.

MAKE A REAL DIFFERENCE AND VOLUNTEER WITH VICTIM SUPPORT AT COURT

We’re looking for compassionate and committed volunteers to join our Victim Support at Court service in Donegal, Galway, Laois, Leitrim, Sligo, Waterford and Kerry.

Our volunteers provide emotional and practical support to victims of crime while they are attending court, helping them feel less alone and more supported during what can be an incredibly difficult experience.

We’re looking for people who are:
✨ Kind, compassionate and approachable
✨ Able to work as part of a team
✨ Fluent in English
✨ Available for approximately 3 days a week (not every week)

If you have the time, empathy and commitment to make a genuine difference to someone at a difficult point in their life, we’d love to hear from you.
