Delighted to have attended the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) Extraordinary Bureau Meeting in Dublin Castle this week. It was a valuable opportunity to engage with leaders from across Europe on some of the key challenges and opportunities facing our societies today.

We were especially proud to see our Board President, , contribute to the debate on “Maintaining Core Values in a New Europe”, sharing the youth work perspective and highlighting the importance of inclusion, participation, and ensuring young people’s voices are heard in shaping the future of Europe.

Youth Work Ireland’s Budget Submission 2027 is calling for meaningful investment in young people and the services that support them.
Through the Youth Work For All campaign, we are asking the Government to invest in youth services, strengthen universal youth work, develop youth infrastructure, and respond to the growing needs of young people across Ireland.
Young people deserve more than promises, they deserve investment, opportunity, and access to quality youth work in every community.
It's time to make young people a real priority.

🌈 Happy Pride Month from all of us at Youth Work Ireland!
Our Proud Spaces are available through member youth services across the country, helping to ensure LGBTQ+ young people have access to quality, inclusive youth work in their local communities.
At the heart of Youth Work For All is the belief that every young person deserves to feel safe, supported and celebrated for who they are. This Pride Month, we reaffirm our commitment to creating spaces where LGBTQ+ young people can connect, belong and thrive.

Day 3 of our Erasmus Youth Worker Mobilty to Denmark!

We travelled to Aarhus, Denmark on our final day and visited the amusement park for the first day of the Youth Festival run by young people for young people. There were many young people performing on the day with a range of genres to cater to all tastes. It was an amazing experience, once again many thanks to René Hedegaard Nielson and co. and .viborg for a wonderful experience.

We have learned many new ideas and practices and are excited to bring it back to the work we carry out with young people in Ireland.

Many thanks to and Erasmus+ for the opportunities in these projects to learn and share knowledge and experiences throughout Europe.

Last Wednesday, we were at Youth Work Ireland Laois for our Youth Work For All Consultation.
It was fantastic to engage with youth workers, managers, volunteers and young people, hearing their experiences and insights on how we can continue to strengthen and expand quality youth work for all.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the discussion and helped shape the future of youth work in Ireland.
