🎬 A special evening in Tralee.

We recently had the privilege of attending the premiere of Ciarán – A PAL's Voice - a short film celebrating the remarkable Gaisce journey of Ciarán Sears. 💙

A Bronze, Silver and Gold Gaisce Awardee, Ciarán has continued his journey as a President's Award Leader (PAL), supporting other young people as they begin their own Gaisce experience. The film explores themes of confidence, independence, inclusion and the power of believing in yourself.

Developed by Kerry ETB's Local Creative Youth Partnership in partnership with Inspired Day Service, the project gave participants the opportunity to share their stories through film and showcase the impact that Gaisce can have on young people's lives.

Congratulations to Ciarán and everyone involved in bringing this inspiring story to life. We can't wait for more people to see it. ✨

💭 What does Gaisce mean to you?

At the National Ploughing Championships, we caught up with our Gaisce Youth Ambassadors, Gaisce alumni, and the wider Gaisce community to ask what one word sums up their time with Gaisce.

From adventure and personal development to inspiration and inclusivity, Gaisce can mean a multitude of things for various people.

📣 Calling all new, active, and returning Gaisce Award Partners!

Applications for the Gaisce SUAS Bursary Fund 2026/2027 are now OPEN!

With this funding, Gaisce aims to:

🔑 Reduce barriers to participation in the Gaisce Award for those experiencing disadvantage.
❤️ Ensure that more young people than ever can achieve Gaisce Awards, reflecting the diversity of our society.
🪞 Ensure young people aged 14-25 across our society can see themselves in the Award.

Gaisce SUAS is a fantastic opportunity to help meet young people where they are, uplift and support them throughout their journey, and offer them opportunities they may not have had access to before.

⌛ The deadline for applications is 5 pm on Friday the 23rd of October 2026.

With Ploughing coming to a close, we’d like to thank everyone who visited our stand, chatted with the Gaisce team, took their selfies with Cara the Cow, and celebrated Gaisce!
