“It was an absolute pleasure to be involved in the inaugural in Jobstown Park on Sunday, 6th September. 🏉

Remembering the man, the myth, the legend — **Philip Preston**, who by all accounts was larger than life.

Philip was named “Tallaght Person of the Year” before he sadly passed away suddenly 10 years ago. This fantastic rugby festival was held in his memory, on what would have been Philip’s **48th birthday**.

A huge well done to the organising committee, particularly Philip’s brothers Seán, Codie and Joe Lamumba, for putting together such a brilliant event and keeping Philip’s memory alive.

Looking forward to an even bigger and better festival next year!

Such a brillsnt show

Well done to Al Porter and the whole team involved in such an outstanding show last night called "The Kavanaghs Married with the parents" which was written by Al Porter and Karl Spain.It was hilarious from start to finish. One of the characters in the show Willa white was the character of one of our previous Tallaght persons of the year Nico Crowley and the really shone a light on the TPOY awards.

Well done Ciaran such a huge achievement 👏

A huge well done to our fantastic member Ciaran who brought in 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗹𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴! What an incredible achievement representing Ireland on the world stage 🏅 Looks like your 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗙𝗶𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 was put to good use - helping to result in these medal wins 🤩

A Hearty Well Done to Prior Cummins and all the St Marys parishioners from the village who have taken on the call from the Bishops of the Irish Catholic church and who formed the Laudato Si Biodiversity Group (LDSBG). 🙌

The parish-led project will enhance the ongoing volunteer work by Tallaght Village Tidy Towns. ❤️

The Tidy Towns group have already helped address litter hotspots, unauthorised camping, arranged for bee hives to be located in The Priory and painted the church railings. Laying solid foundations. 🙌🙏

We will continue the collaborations and work in our village to keep it safe, clean, green and celebrate its rich social and historical heritage.
