This key leadership role will work closely with the Director of HR to support the strategic development of the organisation, helping to build a high-performing workforce and foster a positive employee relations environment. Essential Requirements

✅ Minimum 5 years' relevant HR management experience, ideally within the health sector

This week, St. Michael’s House marked HSE Open Disclosure Week with information stands at our Ballymun, Coolock and Goatstown HQs.

We also held an informative session at our Activity Hub for adults with disabilities, exploring what Open Disclosure means and why it is important.

At St. Michael’s House, promoting awareness of Open Disclosure helps us strengthen our core values and supports a culture of continuous learning across our organisation.

Our Omni Day Service Knitting Group has been busy adding some seasonal colour to the outside of Ballymun HQ.

The group first started creating decorations for our Summer Festival and have now moved on to their Halloween creations. They’ve already started work on their Christmas decorations! 🎄

What started as a small knitting group has grown and grown with staff joining in and other people getting involved through arts and crafts. The group say it’s a lovely and relaxing activity and we think the results speak for themselves!

If you’re visiting Ballymun HQ, make sure you stop and take a look at their spooky Halloween decorations. 🎃

Well done to everyone involved in the Knitting Group. We’re already looking forward to seeing what they create for Christmas! 🧶🎄

💙International Day of Older Persons 2026 💙

At St. Michael’s House, we’re marking the day by celebrating our Older Friends Social Group which brings adults aged 50+ who attend our services together to connect with old friends, meet new people and enjoy social activities.

The group is led by the people who attend, with a committee made up of people supported by St. Michael’s House, management and frontline staff.

🎉 Events in 2026 have included Afternoon Tea, a Summer Party, Bingo Loco, Halloween Cinema and Christmas Lunch – with lots more along the way!

The group’s aim is to create inclusive social opportunities that help older adults stay active, connected and engaged in their communities.

As we come to the end of European Week of Sport, we’re taking a look back at a fantastic video featuring some familiar faces from our Abhainn Swords Day Service. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

The video highlights the importance of walking and the team’s autism-friendly walks for adults attending their service, helping people to stay active, enjoy the outdoors and take part in activities in a way that works for them.

👏 Well done to our WorkAbility participants who successfully completed Manual Handling Training!

Across two sessions in August, participants developed practical skills and knowledge to support them in the workplace, with a focus on safe manual handling, back care and workplace health and safety.

The training is part of WorkAbility at St. Michael’s House, which supports people with disabilities to develop skills, confidence and experience to help them prepare for and progress in employment. 💼

A special thank you to John Byrne from Green Street Hub for his continued contribution to making the training accessible and inclusive through Lámh.
