The UCD LGBTQ+ Society is a social group that aims to provide a relaxed environment for people, including but by no means limited to those who identify as le***an, gay, bisexual and/or transgender. We encourage anyone in UCD to join what is one of the

most active and successful societies on campus. Through a wide range of events, services and campaigns we aim to offer every member of our society the opportunity to enjoy themselves, to learn and understand more about the LGBTQ+ community, and to be there to support anyone who may need it. Adjusting to college life can be difficult for any student, but when a student is also struggling with accepting or disclosing their sexual or gender identity, college can become more complicated and challenging. Many of us in the LGBTQ+ society know, and understand, how this feels and so can offer help, advice, and support. The society welcomes everyone regardless of sexual orientation, which also includes straight. Straight members are just as welcome as those who identify as LGBTQ+. They have been some of the best contributors and supporters of our society over the years. Our society also practices a strict Safer Space Policy and as a result all photos/videos posted to this page are taken with the explicit permission of those in them. We also don't tag any photos though we do allow members to tag themselves if they are comfortable to do so. We ask that you do not tag anyone other than yourself in photos and, if you are uncomfortable with a photo of yourself being on this, or any other social media account, you contact a member of our committee straight away, or send a message to this page.

As the year is coming to an end, unfortunately, so are the activities of our society. Devastating, truly. I fear the onset of the Big Sad is imminent. Oh, how shall we cope...
*sighs, regaining composure *
Why, with mindfulness, of course! We have but two events to finish off this Gratifying and Amazing Year 🫡🏳️‍🌈
☕ LATTES & LABELS are ending their tour on MONDAY, and
🎲 GAYMES are having their final match on TUESDAY! YES YES, FINAL!!!

And now, a few last words... It has been an absolute honor hosting this society’s weekly events program, and we are all incredibly thankful for everyone who had attended. Spreading q***r joy was the highlight of my year, and I hope that I’ll linger in your thoughts for at least a little while longer. 🫡

What I do know, however, is that we have our AGM this Wednesday!!! Yes, that’s right — you can steal OUR jobs and join the 39th (haha, just like the bus) session of our lovely committee! Hope you've been enjoying your Easter holidays and the short, much-needed break from class. Our schedule, however, has not been enjoying any breaks, because we are BACK with a full set of events for GAY WEEK!!! 🫰🏻

☕ COFFEE MORNING is always there to serve you artisanal Gaysoc coffee on THURSDAY, and
📌 PIN MAKING is your chance to make that one cursed or gay pin you've always wanted on FRIDAY

❗ REMINDER that our AGM (Annual General Meeting) is happening on Wednesday at 18:00 in Newman Theatre M ! This is your chance to steal our jobs and become part of the gayest and slayest committee, and also support those who are running ;)

Well, well, well… this semester is nearing its end, and with it is our current committee (they’re still alive, just out of office). But that means YOU have an opportunity to make a difference and join the 39th session of LGBTQ+ Society🌈 And that begins with filling out an application in our bio and coming down to Newman to cast your votes on April 8th for the Annual General Meeting💥 The descriptions and responsibilities of some positions are outlined in our constitution (that you can find in our linktree), but feel free to dm us or approach a committee member in person to ask for more details!

Speaking of machinations, this week's agenda includes making everyone gay through the power of science! Our events are totally not part of that plan hahaha.
