The principal aim is to support children up to 18 years of age who may be suffering from serious, life threatening or life limiting illness On the 4th April 2008, our beloved daughter Laura Brennan suddenly and tragically passed away after a very short illness. Since Laura passed away, Nuala and I have been looking at how we could help any other individuals who might find themselves or their loved
ones in similar tragic circumstances. Outside of her family, friends and basketball, one of the most important things in Laura’s young life was her Community. With this in mind, Nuala and I have set up “The Laura Brennan Charitable Trust”, the aim of which is to raise some much needed funds for deserving causes in the Malahide area. We intend to hold one major fund raising event each year. In 2008, on the 15th November in the Grand Hotel Malahide, we are hosting a Fashion Show. We hope that, as well as helping to raise funds for a very worthwhile cause, this event will also act as a celebration of Laura’s wonderful but short life. We are looking to raise as much money as is possible to give support to other children (and their families) in the area, who may be suffering from some life-threatening or serious illness.
