In 2027, we will celebrate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Ireland, and a series of commemorative events is being planned to mark this special occasion and further strengthen the friendship between both countries. 🇯🇵🇮🇪

As part of the celebrations, the Embassy of Japan in Ireland is inviting submissions for a public logo design competition. The selected design will become the official logo representing all anniversary events throughout 2027.

Designs should reflect:
✨ 70 years of friendship and mutual appreciation between Japan and Ireland
✨ The spirit of ongoing partnership and future collaboration between both nations

The competition is open to all, and the submission deadline is Tuesday, 30 June 2026.

The winning design will be selected as the official anniversary logo and announced via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, the Irish Foreign Ministry, and both Embassies.

As a special prize, the winner will receive an economy-class return flight between Europe (Helsinki, Paris, London, or Frankfurt) and Tokyo, kindly provided by Japan Airlines (JAL).
