Independent Store of the Year judge Edward Fitzgerald was joined by Jean McCabe, CEO of Retail Excellence Ireland, for a road trip around Ireland to visit our Top 5 Independent Store of the Year finalists for 2026.

From exceptional customer experiences and innovative retail concepts to passionate teams and beautifully executed stores, the visits offered a fantastic opportunity to see first-hand what makes these independent retailers stand out.
