A whole week since The Roux Scholarship final and the day we named as the winner after he wowed the judges with his dish based on the brief 'Mediterranean surf and turf'. With our Honorary President of Judges leading the judging panel, with his Executive Chef Luca Mattioli also joining the deliberations, the discussion centred around Harrison's on-point seasoning, his impeccable ex*****on of Mediterranean flavours and perfectly cooked Dover sole.
Then it was on to for the thrilling award ceremony (watch the recorded livestream on our YouTube channel, link in bio) when Harrison couldn't believe his ears on hearing his name. We celebrated in style with an absolutely exquisite dinner from and .

Now we can't wait to see where Harrison's Roux Scholarship journey takes him. Congratulations Harrison!

It was an absolute joy to welcome our Honorary President of Judges to the competition this year. Accompanied by his Executive Chef Luca Mattioli (who has previously worked at The Waterside Inn), the two chefs were a wonderful part of this year's event and even brought lemons from the garden at for the finalists to cook in their dishes.

Here is another chance to see the film we made with the brigade in Menton that was screened as part of our award ceremony. You can see the full livestreamed event via the link in bio to our YouTube channel.

Let's see our winner Harrison in action yesterday where the task for the six finalists was to prepare their own dish, to serve four people, informed by the cuisine of Honorary President of Judges Mauro Colagreco, ‘Mediterranean-inspired ‘Surf’n’ Turf’’. They were asked to ensure their dish made use of the following ingredients: two whole Dover sole, two whole cuttlefish, 400g minced pork sausage meat, mushrooms, asparagus and at least one citrus fruit variety: they were offered a selection of Menton lemons, oranges, bergamots, finger limes and grapefruit picked from the garden at the chef’ three-star Michelin restaurant Mirazur on the Côte d’Azur. They also had a wide choice of other ingredients with which to prepare their recipe, provided by our sponsors.
