The launch of volume 51 of Saothar: Journal of the Irish Labour History Society is taking place in the Teachers's Club, Parnell Square, Dublin 1 on Thursday 1st October at 6PM.
All welcome, where paid up members of the Society will receive their copy.

"Fianna Fáil and the Irish labour movement - friend or foe?" Dublin Festival of History Irish Labour History Society Symposium

The Irish Labour History Society is pleased to announce details of an upcoming symposium taking place in Teachers Club on Saturday 10th October as part of the Dublin Festival of History 2026

Titled “Fianna Fáil and the Irish labour movement – friend or foe?” the event will feature a day of presentations and discussions that aims to evaluated how, on balance, Fianna Fáil in its first 100 years has aided or hindered the labour movement, the workers the movement represents, and wider class politics on the island.

The event is scheduled to take place from 10AM to 3.15PM approximately, with a stellar line-up of speakers and topics included in the provisional programme that is currently being finalised.

Eva Gore-Booth Centenary Conference Features On RTÉ

Exhibits detailing the life of Eva Gore-Booth, a lesser-known sister of Constance Markievicz, who championed campaigns that paved the way for women to stand in election, vote and achieve equality have gone on display at Lissadell House in Co Sligo.
