Every meaningful change starts with one conversation.

At Misean Cara, a simple conversation can lead to healthcare, education, sustainable livelihoods and brighter futures for communities around the world.

Whether it’s a parent seeking medical guidance, a teacher recognising a child needs extra support, or a farmer looking for help to rebuild their livelihood, lasting change starts with people coming together.

By supporting local communities and the missionaries who work alongside them, these first conversations become opportunities for education, healthcare, sustainable livelihoods and brighter futures.

Because real change doesn’t happen overnight, it starts with one conversation. 💜

When disaster strikes, missionaries are already there to help.

Following the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela, Misean Cara members are responding alongside the communities they have served for many years.

Because missionaries live and work within these communities, they don't arrive as strangers. They are trusted partners who can quickly identify urgent needs, coordinate local responses, and provide practical support where it is needed most.

Today, our members, like the Irish Jesuits International and Salesians Ireland are helping families with emergency shelter, food, dignity kits and psychological support, while laying the foundations for longer-term recovery.

Misean Cara is supporting our members by bringing together their emergency fundraising appeals in one place, making it easy to learn more about their work and contribute directly to their response.

Together, we can stand with the people of Venezuela as they begin the long journey towards recovery.

Our work is built on supporting the long-term presence of missionary development, living and working within communities, building trust over years and responding to needs as they evolve.

It’s this holistic approach that allows Misean Cara’s network to create a lasting impact for people in some of the most remote and challenging places, where few others can sustain a presence.
