The evenings are starting to turn.

Batty Langley Lodge in Co. Kildare - gothic, intimate, sleeping two (with two dogs allowed too!!) has an open fire that earns its keep from September onwards.

The kind of quiet that's hard to find an hour from Dublin.

Autumn availability still open. Link in bio.

What a day.

On Sunday, we opened the doors of 17 Irish Landmark Trust properties across Ireland and welcomed over 3,800 visitors to see our work up close. Our House Managers were on hand throughout and it was such a pleasure sharing these buildings and the stories behind them with so many people.

This year's theme, Heritage at Risk, sits close to home for us. Our whole mission is to save, share and sustain at-risk heritage across Ireland and days like Sunday remind us exactly why that work matters.

Thank you to everyone who came. We hope you left with a little more appreciation for the buildings around you - and perhaps a booking in mind for next time.

Some gifts get forgotten. Some get used once and put away.

An Irish Landmark Trust gift voucher gives someone a stay in a building with a story - a lighthouse, a gate lodge, a miniature castle, a thatched cottage. Somewhere that doesn't look or feel like anywhere else.

Valid for 5 years. Plenty of time to plan. Just something worth looking forward to.

Available at the link in bio.

There's a version of Ireland that exists beyond the itinerary.

A lighthouse on a cliff. A fire in a gate lodge that dates to 1810. A walled garden where the only noise is birdsong and the creak of a wooden floor.

Irish Landmark Trust has been preserving buildings like these since 1992 - and opening them as places you can actually stay.

31 properties across the island of Ireland. Each one restored. Each one with a story.

If you've been meaning to come back, or come for the first time - this is where to stay.
