This morning we had a meeting for those seeking to establish National Associations and registers in their country. This is always a great meeting where participants can ask questions, give updates and share ideas. Having the knowledge of people who have walked this path, and knowing that there are others in the same process is hugely beneficial.

We're so grateful that we can connect with each other and support each other to advance EAS in our countries.

Don't forget we have this fantastic webinar coming up!! Be sure to register!

The latest HETI Balkan Network Meeting was successfully held with the participation of colleagues from Romania, Greece, and Türkiye. The meeting was co-hosted by HETI Vice President Dr. Alexandra Stergiou and HETI Executive Committee Member Prof. Dr. Selçuk Akpınar.

The meeting began with an update on the HHRF–HETI Conference, held in Prague two weeks ago. Romanian participants Mihai and Carmen shared their reflections on the conference, highlighting the valuable role that HETI and HHRF play in creating scientific opportunities and supporting the development of evidence within the field of Equine-Assisted Services (EAS).

A central theme of the meeting was the relationship between research and practice and how stronger bridges can be established between researchers and practitioners. Participants exchanged their experiences, perspectives, and ideas on how scientific knowledge can be translated more effectively into everyday practice.

Maria Liga from Greece also shared valuable insights from her own professional experience, contributing to the discussion on strengthening collaboration and knowledge exchange within the EAS community.

The meeting concluded with an announcement that the next Balkan Network meeting will include a presentation on potential European Union project opportunities, with the aim of encouraging further collaboration among members across the region.

📅 Next Meeting: 5 November 2026

Claudia Mota, CEO do Instituto Passo a Passo – Equoterapia (Brasil)

Last week, HETI President, Vera Lantelme-Faisan had the privilege of speaking remotely at the the inaugural Unmounted EAS Summit 2026 hosted by Together In Stride in Canada.

The event brought together practitioners, educators, and organizations to explore horse-centered, relational, non-riding practices.

A huge congratulations to the organisers and all those involved!

We love this picture of all the HETI Members who attended the Hhrf-Heti-Czu Conference in Prague 2026 in Prague last week. All of these people travelled from many different countries to connect, learn, inspire and share their passion for EAS.

We are so grateful for their dedication to the field, to advancing EAS and to supporting HETI.

We look forward to connecting again at the 19th HETI International Congress in Oslo!
