Global Wave of Light event from Finding Space for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day on Thursday 15th October
6.45pm in Meakstown Community Centre
Delighted to share that for the first time I’ll be hosting a local Wave of Light gathering at Meakstown Community Centre.
On 15th October at 7pm, people all around the world will light candles in memory of babies lost through pregnancy and infancy, creating a Global Wave of Light.
This year, we’ll have our own little part of that here in Meakstown.
Having gone through so much pregnancy loss myself, this one means a lot. There was never anything like this near me during those years, so it feels really special to be able to bring this to my own local community.
Not everyone will feel ready to come along, but even knowing that a space like this exists can mean so much and help people feel a little less alone.
A huge thank you to Féileacáin, Meakstown Community Centre and Fingal County Council for supporting the gathering.

We’ll gather outside, light our candles together and take a moment to remember our babies, followed by tea and coffee inside.
It’s open to anyone affected by pregnancy or infant loss, whether recent or many years ago.
Come on your own, with your partner, family or a friend.
There’s no pressure to speak or share. You can simply come along and light a candle.
Everyone is very welcome.
