Topic: Irelands Ancient Astronomers

Anthony Murphy is an author, photographer, broadcaster and tour guide who has spent more than 25 years exploring ancient monuments, mythology and cultural landscapes through Mythical Ireland. In 2018 his aerial photography led to the discovery of a remarkable late Neolithic henge near Newgrange of more than 200 previously unrecorded monuments he has since identified.

Went out around Swords today . Photos The Nunnery, part of Glasmore Abbey . The St Columba Church . The round tower is the oldest building in Swords. Swords is the oldest town in Ireland .

We will meet at the Hollywood Café in Hollywood W91RYY9 at 11.30.

Please bring a packed lunch.

It is advisable to wear walking boots and a waterproof jacket as we will be outdoors.

Please remember all members are responsible for their own safety.

No children under 18 please.

We have some equipment but please bring your own if you can.

Some tuition will be given on the day. Beginners welcome.

We look forward to meeting some members from our beginners class last week.
