Hi everyone,
Below is a letter circulated to local councillors on the status of the pool. Sadly it looks as though it may be closed for some time and no reopening date is given.

There is mention of plans for construction of a new pool complex across the road by the sports hall on Cromcastle Road. While this is positive in the long term, it will be important for us to engage at an early point in this process and advocate with councillors and DCC representatives to ensure the pool is suitable for our needs. Many pools built in the city in recent years, such as the one in Ballymun Leisure centre, are 1m depth throughout. While it is a great facility and an asset to the community, the limited depth does mean that basic skills from diving to contact rescues cannot be taught.

Please be advised that Coolock Swimming Pool will be closed until further notice due to structural damage. The safety of our visitors is our top priority, and necessary repairs will be undertaken as soon as possible.
We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Updates regarding the reopening will be provided in due course.

Notice of closure of Northside Swimming Pool

Due to damage received during Storm Darragh, Northside Swimming Pool is closed until further notice. No re-opening date is available at this time. We will provide more information as it becomes available.

PLG award classes will switch to an online to cover material from the manual.
