DLR PPN Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Public Participation Network The purpose of the PPN is to bring together community, voluntary and environmental groups so that they can participate in local decision making.

Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Public Participation Network (DLR PPN) is an independent umbrella network of community & voluntary, environmental and social inclusion groups active within the county. Through the PPN, groups have opportunities for networking, communication and sharing of information which leads to participating in local decision making and collective action.

The public consultation element of the grey squirrel feasibility study is now underway. This 5-minute questionnaire which aims to assess public awareness of the impacts of grey squirrels, and potential support for grey squirrel control in Dublin and Wicklow can be accessed directly here:

✔️ Risk assessments
✔️ Actions in case of pollution

• Any safety concerns

Music Around Every Corner: 32 Buskers Take Over Dún Laoghaire

Dún Laoghaire is set to come alive on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 July as kicks off with a vibrant opening weekend of dlr Streets, bringing live music and street performance to locations across the town.

From 12pm to 4pm each day, visitors can enjoy performances from 32 independent and up-and-coming artists, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere throughout Dún Laoghaire.

Music and street performances will take place at a number of key locations, including:


- Myrtle Square
- Dún Laoghaire Tourist Office
- Dún Laoghaire Baths
- St Michael’s Church
- dlr LexIcon Library Garden

Audiences are encouraged to wander through the town, explore each location, and discover music around every corner, with a rich mix of sounds and styles on offer. dlr Streets is a key part of dlr Summerfest, supporting local talent while animating public spaces and enhancing the town experience for residents and visitors alike.

Whether you are enjoying a stroll along the seafront or spending time in the town centre, there will be music to your ears throughout the weekend. This event is proudly supported by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.

The Housing Agency presents Improving Food Waste Segregation in Apartments, a lunchtime webinar, taking place at 12.30pm on Thursday 25 June 2026.

This live webinar will share new independent research, funded by the Environmental Protection Agency, and initiatives to improve food waste segregation and recycling practices in apartment developments.

Invited to attend are people involved with apartments and owners’ management companies (OMCs), including directors of OMCs, licensed property management agents, waste service providers, residents, Local Authorities, and Approved Housing Bodies.
