Europe's First Student Managed Fund. Trinity Student Managed Fund (Trinity SMF) is the first student managed fund in Irish history.

It is comprised of a real-life financial portfolio managed by a team of committed undergraduate and postgraduate students under the guidance of an advisory board of investment industry experts. The primary aim of Trinity SMF is to provide Trinity students an unparalleled and self-sustaining educational resource which bestows upon them experience in business analysis, investing and risk management.

In the fulfilment of this aim Trinity SMF will also seek to make a contribution to our community. Thus, while the majority of profits on investments will be reinvested to see the fund grow in perpetuity, a proportion will be donated to non-profit organisations through the Trinity Foundation. The Fund has access to institutional brokerage and research services from Davy Stockbrokers as well as AIB and RBS market research reports. Deloitte provide advice on auditing and taxation issues.

He co-hosts The Rest Is Politics US podcast and also hosts Open Book, a podcast interview series featuring some of the brightest minds in business, politics, entertainment, and more.Prior to founding SkyBridge in 2005, Scaramucci co-founded the investment partnership Oscar Capital Management, which was sold to Neuberger Berman in 2001. Earlier in his career, he worked in Private Wealth Management at Goldman Sachs & Co.
In 2022, Scaramucci was ranked #47 in Cointelegraph’s Top 100 Influencers in Crypto and Blockchain. In 2016, he was ranked #85 in Worth Magazine’s Power 100: The 100 Most Powerful People in Global Finance. Joseph Baratta is the Global Head of Blackstone Private Equity Strategies and a member of Blackstone’s Board of Directors. He is also a member of the firm’s Management Committee and serves on many of the firm’s investment committees.

Mr. Baratta joined Blackstone in 1998 and in 2001 he moved to London to help establish Blackstone’s corporate private equity business in Europe. Since 2012, Mr. Baratta has served as the firm’s Global Head of Private Equity and is located in New York.

Mr. Baratta has served on the boards of many past Blackstone portfolio companies and currently serves as a member or observer on the boards of Ancestry, Candle Media, First Eagle Investment Management, Medline, Merlin Entertainments Group and SESAC. He is also a former member of the Board of Trustees of Georgetown University; is a trustee of the Tate Foundation; and serves on the board of Year Up, an organization focused on youth employment.

Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Baratta was with Tinicum Incorporated and McCown De Leeuw & Company. Mr. Baratta also worked at Morgan Stanley in its mergers and acquisitions department. Mr. Baratta graduated magna cm laude from Georgetown University.
