Benevolent fund 2026
Well done to everyone who participed in the VHI Womens’ Mini Marathon on Sunday and raised money for the Benevolent Fund .... especially Jacqui, one of the committee members who despite missing the bus got to the start line on time!!! A great day of friendship and fun.
If you would like to make a donation to the Benevolent Fund, you can still do so with the QR Code. All donations, no matter what size, are a huge help to Past Pupils in need.
Last week, the Benevolent Fund Trusees met to look at recent requests for help. At this meeting we were able to allocate over €40,000 to Past Pupils in need. We will continue to provide money to Past Pupils in need throughout the whole year. We could not do this important work without your generosity.
Thank you 🙏🏻

Sunday sees the 43rd VHI Mini Marathon take place. We would love if you would please consider walking or running it in aid of the Benevolent Fund. If you are not registered for this event but would still like to support the Benevolent Fund, you can make a donation. Please see our dedicated Mini Marathon QR Code in the graphic.

Past Pupil and Benevolent Fund Committee Member, Jacqui Cross. will be taking part in the Mini Marathon. In the latest edition of the Sacred Heart Past Pupils’ Newsletter, she tells us why the Benevolent Fund is such an important cause, gives us an insight into the huge work that the Benevolent Fund does, the difference it can make to the lives of past pupils in difficulty and, importantly, how none of this would be possible without the very generous bequests, donations and fundraising support that the Benevolent Fund receives.

Wishing anyone running or walking on Sunday the very best of luck!

Thank You 💙

A heartfelt thank you to all the incredible Past Pupils who joined us for our Bridge Morning at Milltown Golf Club! Your participation and support made this event a tremendous success. 🃏

We are thrilled to announce that we raised over €5000 through entry fees, raffle tickets, and generous donations. This incredible amount will go a long way in supporting Sacred Heart Past Pupils in need. The funds will be distributed when the Trustees meet next month, ensuring that your kindness makes a real difference in our community. 🤝

Thank you for your generosity, enthusiasm, and for being such an integral part of the Sacred Heart spirit. Together, we continue to uphold the values of care and unity that define our community. We look forward to seeing you at our next event in the autumn for more fun!

Society Archives to be gifted to the National Archives of Ireland

The Society of the Sacred Heart - Province of Central Europe and the Islands, is delighted to invite you to an event to celebrate the deposit of the Irish and Scottish Provincial Archives with the National Archives of Ireland, to be held on Wednesday 27th May.

Please find attached an invitation to the event, which will begin at 11.00am at the National Archives of Ireland.

The Irish Scottish Provincial Archive of the Society of the Sacred Heart comprises one of the most important religious archives in Ireland and Scotland and is valued by researchers both nationally and internationally. This transfer to the National Archives of Ireland ensures that this archive remains in the country of its origin and in its contextual home, and that it remains accessible to both the Society and the wider public. It is an essential part of the legacy of RSCJ, and deserves its place within a national institution such as the National Archives of Ireland.

We hope you will be able to join us to mark the occasion.

The deadline for RSVP’s has been extended, and we would appreciate if you could RSVP to the Provincial Archives at [email protected] before Monday 11th May.
