Still smiling after such an incredible day at our 5KM race 💛

We just want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who made the event so special. We were honestly blown away by the turnout, the atmosphere, and the support shown throughout the day. Whether you came to race, cheer people on, volunteer, or simply be part of it, thank you. It truly meant so much to us.

A very special thank you to our main sponsor, Allianz Ireland, for their incredible support, and to all of our amazing sponsors and partners who helped make the event possible, and to Corkagh Park for hosting us on such a beautiful day.

We were unbelievably lucky with the weather and seeing so many people come together created such an amazing atmosphere from start to finish.

Thank you again to everyone who supported the event in any way.

We’re so grateful and already looking forward to the next one 🏃☀️

“I honestly have no words for today. Thank you all so so much for showing your support!

Our first ever 5km achieved and mine personally 😎

Words can’t express our gratitude right now for everyone who showed up this morning; who purchased a ticket; who gave up their time; who donated and sponsored the event.

Every one of you who made this event possible, THANK YOU!!

And more importantly, the difference you’ll make to those we support! 🙏🏼

More photos to follow, but for now, from all of us here at FOH, 🙏🏼🙌🏼💙💪🏼” - Natasha

We were incredibly grateful to be invited to speak at the ESF+ Food Support event yesterday, alongside Minister for Social Protection Dara Calleary and Joanna Gawrylczk-Malesa EU commission.

It was an important opportunity to speak about the reality facing so many individuals and families experiencing food poverty, while also highlighting that our work is about far more than food alone.

Food is often the starting point. The first conversation, the first moment someone feels seen, heard, and supported. From there, it’s about building trust, connection, and hope.

Afterwards, a number of people shared how parts of the speech stood out to them, particularly the idea that behaviour is communication, the importance of belonging, connection, and how powerful it can be when someone believes in you before you believe in yourself. We tend to forget the huge impact this can have. To just be human!

Thank you again to the organisers for hosting the event, for their support, and highlighting important conversations around dignity, compassion, and community support.

Food may be where the conversation begins, but it’s rarely where the story ends.

What begins as awareness can become connection, belonging and lasting change. 💙

Sarah’s experience volunteering with Feed Our Homeless opened her eyes to the realities of homelessness, but also to the power of compassion, community and human connection.

At FOH, we see every day how experience can change perspective. Through volunteering, young people gain awareness, empathy and a deeper understanding of the world around them.

We also see the importance of what happens when someone feels welcomed, valued and believed in. Confidence grows, connections deepen and hope begins to return. That is the ripple effect of community.

Volunteers change lives, often in ways they may never fully see. 💙

Through time, kindness and connection, our volunteers help create belonging, hope and real change in the community every single day.

This National Volunteer Week, we celebrate the people at the heart of everything we do.

Thank you for showing up, giving back and making a difference.
