Extreme heat alone could cost major economies billions.
Lost productivity.
Higher energy demand.
Health emergencies.
Supply chain disruptions.

Climate change is no longer just an environmental issue. It is becoming one of the biggest financial risks of our generation. Ignoring climate risk today means paying a much larger bill tomorrow.

Europe is witnessing temperatures normally seen in peak summer- but it's only spring. Scientists are calling these heatwaves a warning of a rapidly changing climate. The question is no longer whether climate change is real. The question is: how much more can societies absorb before systems begin to fail? The climate emergency is no longer a future scenario. Yesterday, the Narendra Modi urged to citizens to cut "unnecessary travel" to save fuel. But let’s look at the logistical footprint of our leadership:
🔹 India has approx. 690 Ministers (Union + States).
🔹 The Convoy: At 15 vehicles per minister, that’s 10,350 vehicles on the road.
🔹 The Impact: Every 1 km they travel emits roughly 2,484 kg of CO_2.
If the public is being asked to use public transport, shouldn't our 10,000+ official vehicles lead the way?

Sustainability shouldn't just be for the citizens; it should start at the top. 🇮🇳🌱

Climate Extremes: The New Normal

Recent flooding events in Pakistan, India, and Vietnam are a stark reminder of the devastating impact of climate change. With rising global temperatures, extreme weather events like floods, storms, and heatwaves are becoming more frequent and intense.

The Cost of Climate Chaos

- The 2022 Pakistan floods caused an estimated $30 billion in damages, affecting over 33 million people.
- In India, extreme weather events in 2024 resulted in over 3,000 deaths and $ billions in losses.
- Globally, climate-related disasters cost the world an estimated trillions of dollars each year.

As the planet continues to warm, we're seeing:
- More frequent and intense heatwaves, like the ones experienced in Japan, China, and Southeast Asia.
- Increased climate extreme like the catastrophic events in Pakistan, India, and Vietnam.
- Rising sea levels, threatening coastal communities and ecosystems.

We must transition away from fossil fuels, invest in climate resilience, and support vulnerable communities. The time for action is now. Let's work together to mitigate the effects of climate change and build a more sustainable future.

Not in centuries. Not in decades. It is going to happen now.

By 2050, this Pacific nation of 11,000 will be underwater.
Mass evacuations have already started. Australia is taking in 280 Tuvaluans a year through climate visas. And Tuvalu is digitizing itself, turning into the world’s first virtual nation, just to keep its culture alive.

If you still think climate change is “up for debate,” here’s your wake-up call:

⚪ Natural Gas: 26%
🟠 Oil: 23%
🟢 Renewables + Nuclear: just 19% combined.
