A big thank you to the residents who came out today to help with the clean up of the Weston Park and Weston Road area and the green space at Pat's Field.

To the younger gang who came and picked litter, shovelled soil and just mucked in! Well done, we are so proud of you. You earned you juice and jellies.

To the adults who gave up a few hours on a Saturday afternoon thank you. Hope the cold beer and wine to finish off was worth it.

The foot paths are wider, the green cleaner and the flowers a bit prettier!

The Churchtown Residents Association applied for environmental grants through .ie this year and we were successful in our application.

Our residents in Meadow Mount broke ground on some lovely new flowerbeds over the last few weeks around their area. The results are fantastic.

Thanks to all the residents who came out to help and got their hands dirty and to those who have agreed to water and maintain these beds. Fantastic Work!!!

Pedestrian Crossings were installed a few months ago by .ie on Beaumont Avenue leading to Weston Road and Park and another leading onto Weston Ave by .

These have been welcome additions by resident's particularly families walking children to school, people trying to safely get to the bus stop or just getting out for a walk.

As they are still relatively new some motorists may not have noticed them. So just a reminder to keep and eye out for pedestrians on Beaumont Ave using these crossings.

Pedestrians make sure the cars or vans see you, give a little wave so they know you are there which might help with visibility.

Massive appreciation to for coming back to train more locals in CPR, defibrillator usage, choking aid, and stroke identification.

Your participation's donations will fund Wicklow Rapid Response's initiatives.

Almost 90 community members have acquired life-saving skills over the past week. Well done to all who joined in and a special thanks to Sandy Daly for coordinating the sessions.

Next up, we're working towards placing a Defibrillator in Churchtown. Cheers to all!

Last night came to St. Attracta's Junior School to provide training.

They trained us in CPR, how to use an AED, how to recognise a Stroke and how to help someone who is choking.

Some tips from our trainers were to act fast, ask for help, call 112 or 999 and know your eircode or ask for the eircode of the location of the incident.

Thank you to all the trainers and locals who took part last night. We appreciate you coming out to learn a new skill that could potentially save a life.
