What we do
Genio was established to assist Government in transforming social services to be more personalised and cost-effective. The hallmark of our work is ensuring that the voice of the person using services is front and centre at every level of service design and delivery. Real change is more likely to happen when we put those for whom change matters most at the centre of the process.
We work closely with our programme partners (e.g. the Department of Health, the HSE, the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government, and Local Authorities) to facilitate dialogue between key stakeholders and development of more evidence-based approaches to practice. We use an action research model that involves surfacing and discussing the challenges which are preventing change in a constructive way. This approach is best suited to complex fields where there are (i) significant reform challenges and (ii) where resources are constrained.
