Irish for Beginners — choose from morning or night classes, perfect for parents or anyone who wants to learn a cupla focal in a nice relaxing environment.
Upcycling Clothes — learn creative ways to transform and refresh your wardrobe
Book Club — meet fellow readers and enjoy lively discussions
Women’s Group — connect, share and take part in activities in a welcoming space

We're also now offering QQI Level 4 Communications which will also offer an intro. to customer service - ideal if you're returning to the workplace.

There will be short 6 week courses on Preparation for Work, so if you don't have a CV or haven't been interviewed for work in years, this is ideal for you!

Whether you’d like to learn a new skill, meet new people or explore your creativity, there’s something for everyone at DALC.

Would you like to see the North Inner City in a new way?

Off the Beaten Path is a free self-guided walking trail that helps you discover the people, places and stories that make our community special.

The trails are for everyone. Whether you’ve lived in the area for years or have only recently moved here, you’ll find something new to enjoy. Walk at your own pace, on your own or with family and friends.

Join us on Friday 10th July for our student led tour. We'll start at DALC, 3 Mountjoy Square at 10a.m.

Then you’re ready to start exploring.

Along the way you’ll discover local history, interesting buildings, public art and hidden places you may never have noticed before.

Today, we celebrate an extraordinary woman whose vision, compassion and determination changed countless lives.

While raising her family, Mary Maher founded the Dublin Adult Learning Centre with a simple but powerful belief: that education should be accessible to everyone. Through her warmth, empathy and gentle leadership, she opened doors for adults across Dublin’s north inner city, ensuring that those who needed opportunities most were welcomed, supported and empowered to learn.

Her commitment extended far beyond our own walls. She played an integral role in establishing the North Inner City Learning Neighbourhood, helping to build a stronger, more connected community through education and collaboration.

These photos capture just a glimpse of her remarkable legacy. The lives she has touched, the confidence she has inspired, and the opportunities she has created will continue for generations to come.

We’ve dressed our front entrance for the occasion as we prepare to celebrate the retirement of our wonderful CEO after years of dedicated leadership, commitment and support for adult learning.

These meetings give community members the chance to share your views and experiences on safety in your area, helping to shape the Dublin Central Local Community Safety Plan. We want to hear your insights, experiences, and ideas on how we can create a Community Safety Plan that truly reflects the needs and priorities of the Dublin Central Area.

We had a lovely day today - we joined the launch of the Wonder Wander Trail in Mountjoy Square at 11a.m. There were some really interesting displays. We then boarded a bus tour of the Docklands, which was fascinating - a great opportunity to learn about another area in our locality!
