A quick exchange takes place between the hospital and control.
Details exchanged as full alert mode kicks in.
It’s just after 4 am and the dawn chorus is on overdrive .

The controller looks out the window as he engages with the rider.
The early stage of dawn is evident as a small yellow haze breaks on the horizon.
The rider answers and details of lift and drop exchange between both with one question.
The question is can the rider have the package in Belfast by 6am.
The answer is the standard response, yes.
The controller calls the hospital back and confirms collection in 12 minutes and time line for the critical drop before 6 am confirmed.

The controller pops the switch on the kettle for a cup of tea.
