In its inaugural year the festival will take place 5-7 May in Generator Hostel and The Light House Cinema, and comprise screenings of new features, documentaries and short films, along with classic science fiction and fantastic features from the vaults. From golden era 50s B-Movies and 70s psychedelic cult classics, to sparkling new releases and overlooked gems, there is something here for every s
ci-fi nut and fantasy geek. The festival is also seeking submissions from Irish and international filmmakers that will be programmed along with a tastefully curated list of invited films. The festival will also host a number of short film programmes. Submissions for this category are now open and film entries should belong to the genres of science fiction or fantasy and be no longer than 35 minutes in duration. The programmes will be curated by the festival team who will look for strong concepts, originality and inventive storytelling among other qualities in their search.
