Thursday, the final day of IPA Ireland’s 70th Anniversary Friendship Week started with a trip to the coastal suburb of Dun Laoghaire, where our brilliant IPA members gave tours around historic sites such as the national maritime museum, the Oratory of the Sacred Heart and Dalkey Castle 🏰
Of course our visit wasn’t complete until we boarded the Irish Navy’s inshore Patrol Vessel LÉ Aoibhinn where we spoke to the officers about their role in keeping our country’s waters safe🌊
We then visited the Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown county hall for lunch and some Friendship Week Speeches by Jim Gildea, Andrée Dargan, JP Durcan, Brian Halligan, Carlo Griffin and IPA president Martin Hoffmann
A brilliant afternoon was had by all before our Gala that evening
