Paddy Cole was a pioneering force in the Irish music industry. As a musician, Paddy’s talent was undeniable, but it was his leadership and vision that truly set him apart.

As Chairman of RAAP for 25 years, his dedication to improving the rights and welfare of artists made him an enduring force in the sector. He understood the challenges that performers faced and worked relentlessly to provide them with the support and recognition they deserved.

Beyond his professional work, Paddy was deeply rooted in the music itself, driven by a genuine love for the art and its creators, fostering an environment where the voices of countless artists could be heard. His commitment to the craft and to his fellow artists has left an indelible mark on the Irish music scene, and his work has played a pivotal role in improving the lives and careers of countless performers.

Paddy’s passing has left an irreplaceable void. His influence will be felt for years to come, and his contributions will forever be remembered. But it was his personal touch, his kindness, and his unwavering belief in the power of music, that made him truly unforgettable.

We thank Paddy greatly for everything he has done. We will miss him dearly, and we offer our sincerest condolences to Helen, Pat, Pearse and Karen.

May he Rest in Peace.
