Grangegorman Community Collective We were a collective of urban farmers and community builders and artists and our aim is to make our neighbourhood a great place to live, work in, and visit.

Grangegorman is no more but its spirit lives on. Goals
To provide an alternative to mainstream consumerism through the reallocation of NAMA lands that have become vacant for sustainable alternative green, social and community arts projects. To add to urban regeneration and improve social behavior through empowering local communities and social validation. To reduce Irelands carbon foot print thr

ough the preservation and refurbishment of useable vacant structures, recycling, up cycling and reprocessing of resources that would otherwise be destined for landfill. To add to Civil society by creating links with other interest groups to address issues of social justice and cultural integration. A Centre for excellence to research and develop cutting edge green technologies and high standard low cost housing units which act as homes for the community. The promotion of safe, drug free, non-monetary "free zones".

Hi admins. This is Ann Marie from Connaught Street Residents's Association. We started a petition last Friday to try to pressure DCC into doing something with the two derelict houses at the bottom of the street. We have 490 signatures already. We are asking everyone to share it with friends, family and neighbours in Dublin 7. We have had some amazing support from local groups and local businesses. Once completed this might send the message that " no plans for the derelict houses" is not good enough. Our community needs more than than that.
