The Conlon family recently visited our to present an incredible β¬22,245 raised through this year's Inniskeen Charity Walk.
This donation is especially meaningful to the family who have a long and personal connection to the Centre.
32-year-old Mark Conlon received his first kidney transplant at just seven years old, and years later, when he returned to dialysis, his father Paul donated a kidney to him in 2016. Today, both father and son are enjoying good health, ten years after their life-changing living donor transplant π
During both of Mark's transplant journeys, Patricia and their family stayed at the while he received care at Beaumont Hospital. The Centre provided comfort, support and a home away from home during some of the most challenging times of their lives.
In June this year, they decided to give back, helping to ensure that kidney patients and their families can continue to access the accommodation, support and services provided through the π‘
A heartfelt thank you to Paul, Patricia, Mark, and Fr. Noel Conlon who joined us at the Support Centre and everyone who supported the Inniskeen Charity Walk.
