The Arab-Irish Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1987 to promote and support the growth and development of trade and commercial relations between Ireland and the Arab countries. The Chamber was established under the auspices of the General Union of Arab Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture which is part of the Arab League and which has its headquarters in Beirut. We fulfil our mission t

hrough the delivery of a range of unique services to Irish exporting companies and through the provision of information, advice, introductions, connections and business leads to companies in Ireland and in the Arab markets. The Arab markets collectively are the most important trading block for indigenous Irish exporters outside of Europe and North America, and their significance grows year by year. They are attractive markets for Irish exporters for various reasons: they import many of the products and services which Irish companies can supply competitively; they have considerable resources to fund their imports; their rising population causes demand to grow year after year - and they are not far away. All Irish exporters to the Arab markets are clients of our Chamber and they rely on our unique services to underpin their business in the region. Key among these services are the provision of our AICC Certificates of Origin as required by the Arab countries; the Certification and Legalisation of all types of commercial documents; the delivery of a technical translation service to and from Arabic, and assistance with visas where required. Our Chamber also organises various events throughout the year to welcome visiting delegations, to deliver important information, to mark special occasions and to facilitate networking and interaction between our members and clients. You are invited to explore our website for further details about our services and activities. And please make contact with us if we can be of service to you in any way.

Wishing everyone celebrating a very happy Bahrain National Day 🇧🇭

26/11/2025

At the Arab Irish Business Summit held earlier this year, Minister Neale Richmond summed up the moment:

“Now is the moment to accelerate — collaboration and cooperation are what we need.”

And the numbers tell the same story…
📈 Irish exports to Arab states are up 14.65% (Jan–Sept 2025).

From the AICC’s Economic Report:
🌍 €2.8bn in goods exported in 2024
💼 €13.97bn in service exports in 2023
📊 A region set for 52% population growth by 2054 — driving huge opportunity for Irish business

The future of Ireland–Arab trade has never looked stronger. 🇮🇪🤝🌍

As we approach the end of 2025, Irish businesses are facing a global landscape defined by uncertainty but also by opportunity. Earlier this year, at the Arab–Irish Business Summit, AICC CEO & Secretary General Ahmad Younis reminded us that:

“If we seize the moment, this generation of Irish–Arab business engagement can become one of the strongest engines for export growth, job creation and mutual participation.”

Looking ahead to 2026 and beyond, now is the time for Irish companies to consider the Arab World as a strategic export destination.

According to the Jim Power Economic Report commissioned by the AICC earlier this year, the Arab World represents a rapidly expanding market:

• A combined population of 488 million, projected to grow by 52.6% by 2054

• Irish merchandise exports to the region reached €2.8 billion in 2024.

• Service exports totalled €13.97 billion in 2023, driven by strong demand in UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar

With one of the world’s highest import dependencies, up to 90% of goods imported, the Arab region offers enormous potential for Irish companies across food & beverage, pharma, education, construction, aviation, renewable energy and more.

The AICC is here to support Irish businesses ready to explore these high-growth markets in 2026 and beyond.
