Happy June Bank Holiday!
If you have big plans this weekend, stay safe and keep this checklist in mind.
The HSE Low-Risk Weekly Guidelines are 17 standard drinks for men and 11 standard drinks for women, over the course of a week, with at least 2 alcohol free days.
And one standard drink = one glass of beer.
Remember, even if you feel fine, alcohol could still be in your system. Never assume it’s safe to drive.
Use our Drinks Calculator to get an estimated time of how long it will take your body to process the alcohol.

• A bottle (275ml) of alcopop is 1 standard drink.

More than half of adults are most likely to drink alcohol at home.
When drinking at home, it can be easy to drink more than we intended.

By measuring our alcohol in line with Standard Drink measures, we can accurately keep track of how much we’re drinking.
