NAC swim club gala 17th May The Club recently attended the NAC swim club LC gala on May 17th. We had 18 swimmers at this completion. 9 medals were won including 3 gold🥇3 silver 🥈 and 3 bronze 🥉. A big thank you to for a great gala.

Swim Connacht Open 2026

We had our Club and charity fundraising swimathon recently, every euro helping to keep our swimmers in the pool and to support young people’s mental health through donating a %of the money raised. We are delighted to be donating €1626 to our chosen charity for this year www.Jigsaw.ie supporting children and young people’s mental health. Massive thank you and well done to everyone who came, volunteered to be timekeepers, supporters and to all the swimmers too! There were some big distances done by all swimmers and even a few parents got in to do sponsored swims. It was such a successful evening and we surpassed our targets thanks to the generosity of sponsors and the kids had lots of fun during it and at the end of season pizza party afterwards.

This year at senior national championships, Oisin & Taja had their own little fan club come to support them. Oisin Qualified for 2 finals achieving 3 pbs.Taja competed in her first national competition. Well done on making it there we’re all very proud. Some of our swimmers were very close with their times to qualify so that’s their goal for next year to work on their times to get to Nationals. Thanks to Coach John and the whole coaching team for all your hard work this year. Great end to this swimming season.

The National age group championship in Limerick concluded last weekend. There were 708 swimmers from 100 clubs from all over Ireland, competing over 4 days. Cormorant had 6 swimmers that qualified, most of them for the first time, with Laura qualifying to swim in 2 finals and Mirabelle in 1 final.
The National Championships are the high point of the swim calendar and a testament to the hard work in training by all swimmers to qualify. Congratulations to all who participated and to the organisers. It was a great experience for all who attended.
We also have 2 swimmers, Oisin and Taja, swimming in the senior championships.
